Ryland is 14 months old!

Ryland is walking, almost exclusively, although there are times when he wants to get somewhere faster and still resorts to crawling.  He is beginning to show stronger preferences for food, pointing to the food he wants and shaking his head no when you spoon something out of the wrong bowl.  His favorite activities are reading books and anything outside.  He's learning to do simple puzzles and loves his shape sorting toys (his favorite shape is the circle).  He's acquiring more word-like sounds, but has yet to really say many words besides "Daddy" and "Uh-oh" on a consistent basis.  We're starting to experience some beginning toddler fit-throwing, too, but are learning how to handle it.  I don't have a video of Ryland walking yet...still working on having the camera ready when he is...but here are pictures from the month of February to enjoy:
