Eighteen Months

We celebrated Ryland's half-birthday last week by having a play-dough party.  We invited friends over and made our own homemade play-dough.  Fun was had by all.  Here is Ryland at a year and a half old:

This is the only picture I could get of Ryland inside sitting in his chair...he moves too much to get a good shot!

Playing peek-a-boo around the corner of the house!

We went to the doctor for his 18 month well-check.  His stats are as follows:
Height: 31.25 inches (19.51%)
Weight: 20.8 pounds (1.98%)
Head Circumference: 18.25 inches (13.71%)
He is developmentally on track, and overall healthy.

Some things to note this month:
Ryland can now identify all uppercase and over half lowercase letters and give the sound for each.  Sometimes we hear him saying a portion of the alphabet repeatedly (e, f, g, h, e, f, g, h...), and he asks to watch alphabet videos on TV (he points to the TV and says, "A, /a/, apple").  He also asks for "Emo" (Elmo).  He can identify numbers 0-10, and most shapes.  He still loves books and puzzles most of all.  He loves to be outside, and will play for extended times with his outdoor toys (wading pool, water table, cozy coupe, basketball goal, dump truck, slide, etc), and is starting to ask for snack to be served outside at his table.

Ryland has had to share his toys and his time with Mommy a little more as we have babysat for a couple of children 3-4 days a week this month.  It has been a good learning experience for all of us.

We've been to the zoo and Ally Fest in the past month, and we took Father's Day pictures, so there are quite a few photos to enjoy from June:
