How to Win a Game:

...use a month-old baby!

So, last night my sister and brother-in-law had a much needed date for their anniversary, and left the nieces with us for a few hours.  We took dinner to a new baby family, then came home and had some dinner ourselves.  Baby Kirsten was polite enough to wait for her dinner until I'd had a chance to finish mine (okay, so she was asleep until I made her wake up to take a bottle).

Here's the only picture I took of our evening:
Uncle Mark cuddling Kirsten on the couch
while enjoying Taylor's movie of choice, Horton Hears a Who

After the movie, it took some convincing to get Uncle Mark to play a game, but he finally put the baby down to join us.  Now this particular game (Cartagena) is one Mark usually wins, but Taylor and I learned that when he's distracted with an adorable little niece nearby, he doesn't do as well.  Yes, yes, Uncle Mark is quite taken with Kirsten Joy.  Just imagine what he'll be like with his own little one!
