Memories & Reflections

I've been busy the last several weeks at my sewing machine working on items for craft shows.  Now that those are finally over, I've had some time to do some of my own desired crafting for Ryland and his room.  First, I worked on the cover of his scrapbook.  I started with a solid red fabric covered book and "wonder-under"ed his initial and stars with fabric I got to use in his room.  I sealed the edges of all the cut-outs with paint.  I'm rather pleased with the results:

The next project I worked on with a friend who is also having a baby boy (she's due in just a couple of weeks).  We got a couple of inexpensive door mirrors at Wal-Mart and etched our desired designs around the edges.  She put several airplanes on her mirror.  I, of course, used stars.  Again, I am quite pleased with the outcome:

(Taking a picture of a mirror is no easy task,
but I think you can at least get the idea.)

(I thought I'd go ahead and include a new
belly picture while I was at it.)

I still have a lot of other things I'd like to get accomplished, but it sure is fun to get started on a few of the ideas floating around in my head!  We're still working on his room, but progress is being made.  I think it should be painted within the next couple of weeks (hopefully).
