"It sometimes happens, even in the best of families, that a baby is born. This is not necessarily cause for alarm. The important thing is to keep your wits about you and borrow some money." ~Elinor Goulding Smith So, we're starting to plan our baby boy's room in a little more detail, now. It is overwhelming to think of all the things a baby needs, and all the things a mom wants. We found a crib and bedding that we like. We ordered the bedding right away because it is discontinued and no longer as easily available. It arrived yesterday. Here's the stock picture of it (this is not our nursery...nor the crib we want to get): We are not necessarily wanting our room to look quite as "cowboyish" as this one. The walls will be painted khaki (maybe striped?) and we plan on pulling more of the red color into other decorations, and using more navy blue than denim. We'll just use stars as accents throughout. When we know we can get the crib we want, we'll post a picture of that as well. We're hoping that these colors and designs will not be too babyish and can grow with our boy. We've been working on cleaning out the baby's room, but at the moment it still has quite a bit of stuff in it. We're getting there, a little at a time. Mark has removed all the wallpaper boarder, so the next step is to pick out paint and get a few friends to come help paint the walls. Now to decide on a name... |
