Friday, Ryland had his 6 month doctor visit & shots. The nurse commented on how cute he is and good natured, as he smiled at her throughout the visit (until she stuck a couple of needles in his thighs). The doctor said he looks healthy, has a strong back, is pleased that he's active (he gave her a few strong kicks). She did determine that the heat rash he's had inside his elbow is eczema, and prescribed a cream that should clear it up. She pointed out that he's small, but that his growth patterns are consistent with the average curve, just that his line is below all the others. His stats are as follows: Height/Length: 26.75 inches (44.84%) Weight: 14.4 lbs (1.92%) Head Circumference: 16.5 inches (4.30%) Friday evening, we went to a friend's 2nd birthday party, and Ryland had fun swinging:  Karys, the birthday girl, wanted to share rocks with Ryland, but since we wouldn't let him hold the rocks in his hands, she could only put them on his legs. When she started burying his feet in rocks, he kicked his legs and she thought it was funny. Her giggle tickled Ryland, and he laughed, which in turn amused her, and the chuckle exchange began: |
