Today, on his ten month birthday, Ryland's third tooth cut through, and his fourth isn't far behind. This month's pictures still show the toothless grin smile, but it looks like these will be among the last of them.
This month Ryland has been pulling up on anything and everything. He pulls up on the couch and reaches for the remote. He pulls up on the coffee table and plays with decor. He pulls up on the edge of the bathtub and makes his quacking duck sound. He pulls up on the open door of the dishwasher and takes out the silverware. He crawls under the chairs at the table and pulls up on the bar in the middle of the table (then gets stuck and can't figure out how to crawl out backwards). His new favorite toy is the large multi-activity cube that he can pull up on and make the music and lights play. He sways back and forth "dancing" to the music. Another favorite "toy" is a cardboard box of plastic clothes hangers on the floor of his closet...it is fun to empty all the hangers out and watch Mommy and Daddy try to step around them!
We haven't found anything that Ryland won't eat, although he sometimes makes his preferences known when given choices. This month he's been introduced to turkey and beef, macaroni and cheese, corn, strawberries, granola, little crunchies snacks, and dried fruit snacks. Overall, he seems to favor fruit flavors, but does well eating vegetables, too. He definitely likes the independence of feeding himself and choosing what food he's going to pick up first. He's started drinking water from a sippy cup, and seems to take it as well as juice.
It's been a busy month for us, and we have a lot of pictures to show off. Enjoy!
